WHAT TYPE OF LONGARM SERVICES DO YOU PROVIDE?

• At Looped Quilting, we do all-over computerized edge-to-edge quilting.  This is when you select a design, and I load that design into the computer that controls my longarm machine.  The machine then stitches the design at the scale we select.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO HAVE MY QUILT TOP LONGARM QUILTED?

• Edge-to-edge computerized is $0.03 per square inch

• Our minimum charge for quilting is $65.
   

HOW DO I NEED TO PREPARE MY QUILT?

Tidy it up by pressing your top and backing

• Clip any stray threads or raveling fabrics.  

• Bring backing that is AT MINIMUM 4 inches larger than your quilt top ON ALL SIDES.

• Additional charges may apply if mending, squaring, or pressing is needed.  I will contact you first before doing the required additional work. 
   

WHAT’S THE LARGEST SIZE QUILT I CAN SEND YOU?

• I can quilt a top that is a maximum of 124 inches wide.
   

I’M LOCAL, CAN I DROP IT OFF?

• Absolutely! I welcome clients to my studio by appointment.
   

WHAT IS YOUR TURNAROUND TIME?

• This depends on the time of year.  I average a 4-5 week turnaround, but during the holidays and school summer break, this increases.
   

CAN I USE MINKY FOR MY BACKING?

• Yes!  Quilting looks amazing on Minky!  If you need to piece your Minky, please ensure that the seam will run horizontally when the backing is loaded. 
   

I’M A NEW QUILTER.  CAN I STILL SEND YOU MY QUILT?

• Yes!  I love working with new quilters! 
   

CAN I PROVIDE MY OWN BATTING?

• Of course!  Let me know what you’re bringing and make sure that it is at least 2 inches larger than your quilt top on all sides. 
   

WHAT KIND OF BATTING DO YOU STOCK?

• I currently have the following battings:

  • Hobbs 80/20 (cotton/poly blend), 96 inches wide, $0.25/linear inch

  • Quilters Dream 80/20, 93 inches wide, $0.32/linear inch

  • Warm and Natural 100% cotton, 96 inches wide, $0.32/linear inch

  • Quilters Dream Cotton Select, 93 inches wide, $0.36 /linear inch

  • Quilters Dream Cotton Deluxe, 93 inches wide, $0.50/linear inch

  • Hobbs Tuscany Wool, please inquire about pricing. 
     

WHAT KIND OF THREAD DO YOU USE?

• I use Glide, Innovatech, and Superior. My machine is not picky when it comes to thread, so if you have something specific in mind, let me know.

• Absolutely! I am always adding to my stitch library and am happy to purchase new designs at no cost to you.
