WHAT SIZE SHOULD MY BACKING BE?

Here's an easy way to remember: Four-for-four! :) I require the backing to be 4" extra ON ALL SIDES. For example, if you have a quilt top that is 60" x 80", your backing should measure at least 68" x 88". It can be bigger, not smaller. Extra fees may apply if I need to put extra time and effort into getting your quilt ready to load. If you have questions, please ask.

I am now offering a small selection of wide back fabrics. If you purchase them with your quilting service, they are 20% off.

Pricing Information for Backing Fabrics

TIDY IT UP!

Please press your top and backing for me so that it's nice and tidy and ready for me to load. Please also clip stray threads or raveling fabrics as best as you can. You might not be able to get them all, but to prevent dark threads from shadowing through your quilt top, please don't skip this important step!

QUILTING CHOICE

I want this to be fun for you and not overwhelming! You have the option of having me make the quilting decisions for you. It all depends on your purpose for the quilt, sometimes "done" is best!

Select a Finish Date (My turnaround times are always in flux but generally speaking, I can accommodate a return time within five to seven weeks. Leave this space blank if there is no deadline.)

Backing Fabric: In order to give you the best results possible, please ensure your backing fabric is a total of 8" wider and 8" longer than your quilt top. This gives me at least 4" of margin on each side of the quilt top. Your backing can be larger but not smaller.

I acknowledge my backing fabric meets the minimum size requirement for my quilt top.

My backing contains more than 3 seams and I acknowledge that an additional fee of $40 will apply due to the extra time needed to ensure a tidy result.
